Great rooms and service.Breakfast was good.

Third time of staying here and all have been wonderful.Very welcoming from the owners and great themed room. Plus superb breakfastThanks from us both.

Stayed one night with my sister. Liked the quirky decor and the great variety of breakfast choices. Good location - handy for where we needed to be.

I’m sorry to say I was very disappointed and in hindsight wish I had booked at the premier inn which would have been much cheaper.We were visiting for my granddaughters graduation anddid not want to spoil our visit by complaining at the time. But now we are home would like to point out the following;1. No accessible socket near the mirror to style hair,2. The room was much too hot and the mattresses uncomfortable resulting in having to sleep with the window open which resulted in a lot of traffic noise.3. Fridge not working.4. Car park inaccessible without knocking even though it was chargeable.5. Breakfast was nice but expensive.I apologise for the negative comments but not what I expected from a boutique hotel.Regards

We had a brilliant time once again. We stayed last year and couldn't wait to come back this year. We stayed in the New York room this time and it was just as lovely as the London room we stayed in last year. The breakfast was amazing and our hosts were very friendly and helpful. Thanks again for our stay and we look forward to seeing you again next year for our annual girls weekend 😀 xxx

We booked this hotel last minute for our visit to notts for Fontaines DC concert. The room was aesthetically pleasing, super clean with all the amenities and more you could need. Friendly people running the hotel. Best of all - seriously great value for a great hotel

Stayed in the Paris room, which does a great job of evoking the feel of the city; the decor is immaculate everywhere I saw in the hotel. The breakfasts we had were incredible - tasty, substantial and satisfying. Top marks in every way, will definitely stay again if/when I'm in Nottingham!

I have stayed at Mamas Inn previously and again my stay was excellent. Room wonderful facilities great. David and Marina very warm and welcoming people will definitely return.

Each room is lovingly decorated in the theme of a city (we stayed in Tokyo!) with beautifully appointed decor.It’s clean, comfortable, inviting and situated an easy walk to the Old Market area.The hosts are delightful and very accomodating.

Our second time here and both times in different rooms, but both rooms were excellent. Very clean and lots of nice touches. Love the idea of the themed rooms it just add that extra special feel. Nice friendly and helpful owners. very close to town centre and parking available at a cost but much,much cheaper than car parks! We will not stay anywhere else when we come to Nottingham to visit our son at uni. Within walking distance to the uni also. Thanks Dave and MarinaWill be back soon xx

We have stayed at this delightful boutique guest house maybe twenty or more times now and it never disappoints. The welcome, the imaginative interior design and the superb home cooked breakfast are the best we have ever experienced.Reasonably pricedand walking distance from the city centre too....

Wife had traditional English breakfast and loved it, especially the dining room decor. Mine was the vegan version, and it was even better, b/c only I declared it Best Ever. Hers was merely excellent.The Paris room made us agog. We photographed decor for ideas at home. Wife wants to visit Notti. again just to come back to Mama's.It's a clear 5-star, but if you have heavy bulky bags the stars are tight.

Great place, we stayed here last night. Myself, husband and our son ( visiting from London to look round the university) Highly recommended staying here. Fantastic location! Walking distance to the heart of the city. Rooms were very clean, uniquely themed and equipped with every item you can think of. You don’t need to bring anything with you (hairdryer/iron/toiletries/towels etc. We were very impressed and would definitely return when our son hopefully attendeds next year.

We were able to leave our bags early and go about town. Easy check in. Very nice guy who welcomed us, very funny. Cairo Room was amazing, we were in awe. Beautiful decor. Towels, bath robes, tea coffee etc. Big tv. Very easy to walk into town.Good bathroom facilities. Would visit just to try each room, was very cool.Internet was slow and disconnected. And didn't work next day. Bathroom had hair in the shower and sink, but in a rush I don't think there was a chance to clean on a busy Saturday so it's ok! Full payment is taken at booking for pre-payment. Completely understandable as you read the signs of people taking artifacts and towels etc.

Had a very memorable stay here - beautiful rooms with so much charm and style. Very comfortable poster beds too, had a good nights sleep.Couple who own the hotel are super friendly and I loved the breakfast.So much thought and attention to detail here, if I'm in Nottingham again I will definitely plan to stay again.

I booked the Tokyo room for myself & my sister and it was beautiful. Mama inn boutique guest house was lovely. Perfect location, oppulant decor, friendly staff. Marina was so warm and welcoming & went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect!I will definitely return and highly recommend this beautiful gem.

We had a lovely stay in the St Petersburg room for 1 night. Everything was very accommodating, from letting us get our keys and park in the car park before check in time, to leaving our car after we’d checked out to go for a walk. The breakfast is definitely worth the money. Lots of choice and lovely welcoming service. Our room was very opulent, we loved it.

Myself and 9 other ladies visited on 3rd August for a Hen Do. We were very well looked after and had a lovely stay. Everything was clean and we were well catered for. Be sure to have the breakfast, it’s outstanding! Thank you so much Marina and David.

This is the first time we have stayed at Mamas Inn and the experience was excellent. We chose the Paris room, and the room was exactly as we hoped it would be. The cleanliness, quality and greeting was excellent. We would be more than happy to stay here again.

Very welcoming hosts.Breakfast was amazing, with so many international options as well as the usual full English or continental. Cooked to perfection. Quirky room. An extra couple of teabags and some proper coffee in the room would have been nice,but had we asked, I'm sure the hosts would have obliged as they were very approachable.

We had a lovely stay at Mama's Inn. We stayed in the St Petersburg room which had both a shower cubicle and a bath, as well as a huge four-poster bed. Marina and Davod were very friendly and obviously take great pride in the quality of the service they provide. The highlight was the breakfast - we had tartiflette and kasha, and both were delicious, as well as the fresh fruit and mini muffin straight out of the oven.

Lovingly furnished accommodation with fantastic hosts ready to go the last mile for their guests. The best and most varied breakfast in town!

Very good location with parking in the centre of Nottingham.I have never been offered such a fabulous choice on a breakfast menu and everything we had was delicious. I've never written a bad review like this before and I wish I didn't have to but I'm in shock of what happened when I arrived at Mama's Inn Boutique because it was the most hostile and disappointing experience I've ever encountered in all the travel I've done in the last 25 years.I arrived happy and excited to be there but when the owner opened the door, she was instantly hostile with me - not speaking or smiling.As she led me to check in, I was so taken aback by her manner (I was expecting a warm 5star boutique greeting based on reviews) but she was so surly, impatient and rude that I assumed she was a grumpy staff member wanting to finish her shift until she told me she was the owner.In confusion, I asked her if everything was OK in an attempt to reset the bizarre mood but she snapped at me and told me there was nothing wrong. I then said I was just surprised by her greeting and manner and she said that there was nothing wrong with the way she ran her business and that I had brought the bad energy with me.She then told me she ran the best Boutique in Nottinghamshire but seemed absolutely uninterested in making me feel welcome or liked.Due to the terrible customer service, I asked if I could get an immediate refund and find somewhere else to stay instead but she refused to refund me, so I left paying £120 for a room I didn't sleep in.I have no idea why my experience was so bad considering the amazing reviews. I either caught her on a really bad day or it was my face that disturbed her. Either way it was the most upsettinghotel experience I've ever encountered and I really hope it doesn't happen to anyone else.

This was the second time we stayed, in the London room this time. Lovely warm welcome when we arrived. Used the secure parking facility again which is really handy. The rooms are lovely with everything you could need. Good communication throughout.

Great place to stay.Close to the city centre.Stayed for 1 nightwhen we attended the Motorpoint arena. Only a 15 minute walk to the venue.If I ever come to Nottingham again, this place will be considered for staying at again.Great breakfast also.

We were in the loft room, group of 5 girls. Stairs to the loft are steep but the room was lovely. Breakfast was amazing, lovely fresh fruit and an amazing omelette.many thanks

Mama's Inn is the perfect distance from the city center in Nottingham for travelers and tourists. A 15 minute walk with bring you right into the old market square - less than 5 more minutes to the castle.I have one regret - I didn't stay longer!!! I would have gotten a sumptuous dinner as well as breakfast (which is excellent!). If I'd had a travel companion I'd have gotten one of their custom-made picnic baskets to go out with.Really, this place is amazing.

Marina and David are the hosts from heaven, and they run an exceptionally pleasant and comfortable Guest House. The food was excellent and I will always remember the quality of the omelettes. The bedrooms were decorated amazingly, each one different, and the beds were most comfortable. Marina provided a lot of extras which made our stay very special. We will definitely return when next in Nottingham.

Our second visit this year to Nottingham and only one place to stay..Mamas Inn. Everything is so perfect here, the rooms are beautifully comfortable, the owners are so helpful and sincere, and the breakfast is just the best. No buffet as it's all cooked to order. Stayed one night for a visit to daughter in university. Location perfect , parking excellent, room comfortable and very clean . Breakfast enjoyable with good quality ingredients and freshly prepared with prompt service in relaxed environment. Lovely little B&B, great welcome and perfect location for city. Room we had is smallish and a lot of furniture and Nik Naks which add to the quirky style but less is more maybe.Good value for money don’t expect 5 star but if your after a very clean and central accommodation near city can’t go wrong.

We loved our stay at Mama’s Inn. We stayed in the Casablanca room, which was amazing (and spotless). We were noticing wonderful details throughout our stay, the lanterns, a swoosh of material and tassels galore! The breakfast was lovely, my partner had the Full English and I had the Russian Draniki, so delicious and good portions. My partner has reduced mobility, Marina and David went out of their way to make our stay hassle free. Would strongly recommend.

Due to a strike at the Hamburg airport we had just two instead of four nights end of April 2023 but we had such a lovely time in your 'London' room, so loveable items in that chamber. However, it got in the background by learning what you mean when you offer: The Breakfast! It's nearly indescribable. so fine, so tasty, so embedded in an athmosphere of well-being and sympathy, and we had to leave it so soon (sniff).

Great place, friendly, booked our evening meal reservation for us at the local seafood restaurant (also very good). We will try one of the other themed rooms next time we stay!

We stayed overnight at a weekend and quite honestly were blown away by every aspect of the experience.The décor was quirky and created a lot of interest, the cleanliness was faultless, the service and attention to detail unrivalled. Slept perfectly and loved the Chakshuka breakfast.How on earth they manage to do all this with the prices they charge is commendable.If you are visiting Nottingham stay here, do not bother to go anywhere else. You will not be disappointed.I will definitely be back and thank you.

Warm welcome from lovely hosts, comfy room & fab breakfasts - what more could you want!

Second stay and cannot fault.Rooms have pretty much everything you could want, comfortable, spacious and warm.Breakfasts are to die for, spoilt for choice with such an extensive menu. Drinks in the bar are large 35ml measures. Marina and David are such lovely people and they know what they are doing.

Pure value for money. I am not exaggerating, probably the best b and b we have ever stayed in. Location, room, car parking (make sure you book in advance ance) breakfast. You won't do any better in Nottingham...or probably anywhere else in the UK. 5 star.

The owner very much reminded me of Alfred Pennyworth (Of Batman mythos). Excellent service, good food and a wonderful/unique hotel. This was the best part of Nottingham in my opinion. I don't know if I will ever return to Nottingham, but if I do, I will look to stay here again.

My stay at Mama's Inn has been fantastic and I can't wait to have another reason to visit the city and stay again.Firstly the love and energy which has gone into the room decorating is amazing and the photos on the website do not do justice to how pretty the rooms are.Secondly, the breakfasts are divine. I mixed it up during my stay and every morning was freshly cooked and beautifully presented. Nothing was pre-bought and reheated, it was all made to order and delicious.Lastly, David and Martina are so wonderful and we're so happy to help with dinner recommendations, directions around the city and letting me park a little longer than expected. They made me feel like part of the family during my stay.Overall, Mamas Inn is probably one of the loveliest places I've stayed during my travels around the UK and I can't wait to come back!

This quaint little place to stay is so unique. The staff are so warm and friendly and helpful. The room (St Petersberg room) was out of this world, spacious, a beautiful bathroom, stunning four-poster bed and plenty of space for our suitcases.We would stop here again, if I had one thing that could be changed it would be the mattress on the bed, as my partner suffers with chronic pain and I have a back injury and the mattress was too soft and because of the nature of our conditions it was a little uncomfortable.The parking was a little annoying too, as right behind where we had parked was a tree with a concrete ledge around it and when trying to reverse out of the parking spot the back of the car scraped on the ledge, as another car has blocked us in.However, I am giving this place 5 stars as it was such a unique and great place to stay, the warm welcome and the personal touch were really nice. I would stay here again but as I said above, would be nicer if the mattress was firmer.Thank you for having us. And hopefully, in the near future we will be back to stay again.

The city-themed rooms have been fabulously resourced and are brimming with artefacts relating to each country represented. In addition, all other areas in the hotel, the bar, restaurant and public areas are packed with a fascinating collection of memorabilia from around the world.The owners went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was successful and comfortable.I would definitely recommend this accommodation to anyone wanting something other that the usual hotels available.

The stay was completely unique, the theme of the guesthouse is so original and well worth the visit. The breakfast dining room is absolutely fabulous and the breakfast itself was outstanding. The proprietors, Marina and David are welcoming and really friendly, they obviously take a great deal of pride in their establishment and it is reflected in the attention they pay to the comfort of their guests.

We booked this stay as a quick kid free night and wanted to do something new. It was a last minute booking. The room was presentable and clean, fresh towels was available. The room wasn't as big as we thought, and it was hot. Even with the window open and the use of the fan, it was still too hot. So, we have booked in again to a bigger room to see if we have a better experience. Overall we still enjoyed our stay and the rooms look amazing.

We have absolutely loved every moment of our stay in the London room. We are not quite sure about the total number of red telephone boxes throughout but the decor is fab. Breakfast is amazing - we both sampled different dishes each morning and three courses meant we didn’t need much for our lunch whilst exploring the city. We would recommend unreservedly and hope to return one day for another stay.

We had a 1 night stay in the Paris room to celebrate our anniversary. The room was beautiful. Very romantic and Parisian. The bathroom was gorgeous too.At breakfast, the food was amazing, we were spoilt with delicious home cooked food and the attention to detail just made the stay that extra bit special. This hotel is amazing, the themed rooms are fantastic, we stayed in the Casablanca room and it was beautiful, our hosts were very friendly and attentive, we would recommend you have breakfast as the selection is massive and all cooked from what tasted like local and freshly produced items, one thing to note that if your driving, let the hotel know prior so as to book a space as this is limited

Super friendly owners. Offering a unique experience with a twist of quirkiness. Breakfast and coffee out of this world. Only criticism and I love a soft bed....but Venice room bed was too soft and sadly too small but we are used to a Superking.

We really enjoyed our stay at Mama's, and loved the creativity and friendliness of our hosts. The location was great, with a 15 minute walk to the city center. There was also a nice selection of restaurants and shops very near Mama's, which was a nice convenience.After coming from bustling London, Mama's was very quiet, roomy, and comfortable, and we didn't have to struggle with Wifi at all. The breakfasts were just fabulous, with a wide array of country-themed choices (just like the rooms). I will definitely try to stay at Mama's Inn, if I have the chance to visit Nottingham again!

This was our 2nd visit and has become our annual birthday trip for our Mom.We had the Casablanca suite again as she loved it so much last year.Marina & David run a fabulous guest house. It is exceptionally clean, quite & relaxing.Breakfast is a must! The choice is vast but the quality is better.We are now looking forward to booking up and returning next year and trying out the Prague suite!Thank you so much for a great stay!

A very lovely host that welcomed us in. The loft room was great for us as a group staying together.

The room is just as beautiful as it was pictured, David and Marina are accommodating and friendly, the bed was comfortable, the amenities were accessible and high quality, and when a special request was made it was done so perfectly. Staying here made our engagement weekend perfect.

I stayed here in the London room with my mum, as we had a show to see at the Motorpoint Arena. I was initially a little concerned it would too far to walk to the arena and back, but it was absolutely fine, calling in for a cheeky drink here and there en route!The proprietor was extremely helpful throughout, advising us on breakfast choices, and regaining access to the property that evening.The room was fantastic, well presented with all you could need for an overnight stay, and the bed was extremely comfortable.

I stayed in the St Petersburg room and it really is a pretty as the pictures on site.It’s spacious and airy and considering it’s on a main road it’s quiet enough to get a good nights sleep.Mamas has an informal, family feel which I find preferable to chain hotels.I will definitely stay again if I need to be in Nottingham in the future.

Can’t lie, when I walked in, I felt like I was on an theatre set, the attention to detail was magnificent.The Tokyo room was very clean, had all of the amenities you could want and although the bed was low, it was so comfy. Loved this place, the owner is a lovely lady.

Couldn't fault a thing. Spotlessly clean wonderfully themed rooms with absolutely everything you could possibly need. Unfortunately didn't have time to eat there but hopefully we'll be back with more time to fully appreciate the place. Oh and wonderfully comfy beds.

We were looking for somewhere quirky, unique, special to mark a significant anniversary and we were certainly not disappointed! Marina and David have created a gem of a boutique hotel close to excellent pubs and restaurants and just a few hundred yards from the city centre. We opted for the Casablanca room with its sumptuous Moroccan furnishings and felt thoroughly spoilt duirng our. Breakfast was not to be missed - not just for the delicious food, but most of all for the chance to learn about our hosts and their rich experiences which are evident in the furnishings and level of hospitality we were fortunate to experience - we will certainly return!

Met by gracious hosts, found room just as advertised and the additional spaces well explained. Comfortable beds and bathroom well equipped with extras. Breakfasts were fulsome and delicious with additional chocolate muffin. Would definitely recommend and will return!

One night doesn't do justice to the immaculate and well dressed rooms.We stayed in Casablanca this time round (previously stayed in St Petersburg). Breakfast is a must, it's incredibly generous and so delicious. Marina and David are so welcoming and friendly.Can't recommend enough

All three of us slept well. The shower's amazing - it's great not to have to wait for the water to heat! - and so is the breakfast - well worth the price! - with them only outdone by the service.

Myself and a group of friends came to Nottingham for a university reunion and had a lovely stay here! The loft is a great room and would highly recommend. We will definitely be staying here again for our next reunion.

Booked Mamma's to stay as a treat for my sister's birthday, as was going to see Rod Stewart as well. Had a lovely welcome from David, had a drink in the quirky bar, then up to the Paris room,Wow! What a room!! It was great! Four poster bed, robes, tea and coffee, lots of little quirky bits, bathroom was large, everywhere clean, we both loved it!! Breakfast room downstairs, again quirky. We met Marina, who like David, was lovely. We had pre-ordered our main meal for breakfast, which was flamenco eggs, it was really tasty and light, also fruit salad to start, as well as toast, and a little muffin to finish. All in all we had a great stay, and will be back,!!😊😊

I normally stay in large chain hotels, while they have everything you need they lack the personal touch, I received a warm welcome from not only the owners but also there dog. the room was great with lots of personality and the bed was so comfy.

What a gem of a find in Nottingham... the room was elegantly and thoughtfully decorated... breakfast was an amazing choice and I really enjoyed my order... nothing was too much trouble here, and I am already looking forward to staying here again on my next trip to Notts... in the St Petersburgh room next time... a novel way to see the world :-)

A great location and very quiet, easy walk to the centre of the city.Unfortunately because of an in-house mix up we did not experience all of Mama's dinner cooking, excellent breakfast.

Our room was comfy, well equipped and clean.The place is awesome, very pretty with lots of character. Close to the city centre so we could walk back from pubbing.

We thought Mamma's Inn was very unique and the Paris room we stayed in was so beautiful we felt like we were in Paris for the evening it was very special and unusualand not like any other place we have stayed before.We had a very warm welcome and an excellent service all round and the Breakfast was incredible and everything about this place was truly remarkable we absolutely loved everything.We would highly recommend this to others and we would definitely stay here again.We loved the fact that there were different themed rooms which we could choose to stay in.Maybe we should try them all over time.It's such a Brilliant place.We were very happy without a doubt! so Thankyou so much to everyone at Mammas inn for helping us to enjoy! our stay with you.( Top class place! )

A short walk from town with fabulous hosts , we have to say we were both blown away by the quality and variety of breakfast on offer. Well worth the additional cost if not included in your booking! We will definitely be staying here again when next in Notts.

Loved this place - so much character.Great choice of breakfast and some delicious unusual options.Friendly hosts.Lovely new shower fittings (seemingly the same in all rooms after speaking to family)howeverIt was next to impossible to move the shower pressure control and temperature control - just a really poor design, even trying to use a flannel to get more purchase didn't help. Real shame because everything else was perfect.

Lovely, welcoming greeting, handy location and the room had everything I needed, including table I could sit and work at.

We went for a one night break to Nottingham and could not have been happier. David and Marina were an absolute joy to be around and made our stay. The breakfast (of which there are so many choices!) was incredible and the room was stunning. It was a treat in itself to stay there and we didn’t really want to to go out and certainly want to go back again. I can’t rate the experience highly enough. Thank you both

The room was beautiful, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom was a decent size - and the food was incredible; even if the rooms were less good than they are it would be worth staying here just for the breakfasts!

An excellent spot to stay in central Nottingham with handy car parking spot. David and Marina are excellent hosts and were very kind to me when I arrived exhausted after a long drive and soaking wet from the rain. The Cairo room was an oasis of calm with lovely comfortable bed, nice fluffy towels and lots of nice extra touches. I will have breakfast next time I stay as it looked excellent. Thankyou so much.

An amazing experience with attention to detail in every way.The room was spotlessly clean and there were extra touches which you would not get from a big chain hotel.Only a 10 minute walk to the centre of town and within a couple of minutes walk we found an amazing seafood restaurant.The breakfast was lovely and the choice of food extensive.I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this venue as a quirky and unusual alternative.

Mama's is very easy to find, and is on the quiet end of a main street.(Turn left, and John Lewis / House of Fraser is a 10 min stroll away).Our hosts, David and Marina were welcoming and helpful without being pushy. The decorations in all the rooms are spectacular. Very well thought out, and delightful in their execution. The bed was big and comfy, and with a fridge on the landing where we were able to chill a bottle of wine. The breakfast choices next morning had to be seen to be believed. You will not be disappointed. (I recommend Flamenco eggs)In summary, lovely hosts, lovely accommodation, well sited and good value for money. Highly recommended. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

We first visited mamas inn boutique for our mini moon after we got married. Now 5 years on and we come every year on our anniversary. We travel from Warwickshire for one night and enjoy a meal out and some drinks.We choose a different room each year which is one of the reasons why we love it here, we’ve done Cairo, Venice, Casablanca & Paris twice! We’ve still got a few themed rooms to do.The 3 course breakfast is absolutely amazing!Marina & David are wonderful hosts! Marina is so welcoming & knowledgeable, David is the best chef, his breakfasts are out of this world!The decoration throughout the boutique is memorable & unique. Each room beautiful with lots of special touches.It’s so nice staying in a family run boutique hotel with personality & amazing decor!We will continue to come to mamas every anniversary for as long as Marina & David are hosts. We stayed here after my sisters Hen do. The owner was very accommodating to our needs. We were able to check in within very reasonable hours which made our day run a lot smoother. The loft room that we stayed in for 6 adults is bijoux but had a lovely feel about it and worked so well for our group so that we could all stay in one big room together. All the facilities you would usually expect for a hotel room.I think the only slight issue was that one of the girls had said the water upstairs did turn off and on a bit sporadically. Not sure whether that’s due to heavy use being a hotel or the fact we were at the top of the house.Overall great stay and would recommend. We live in Nottingham but if ever given the chance again, we would all also stay too. Thank again !

My adult daughter and I stayed in the Tokyo when we visited Nottingham for her belated graduation. The hotel is beautiful, very clean and tastefully decorated. It has a fantastic bar. The owners are very friendly. Our Tokyo room was amazing, had everything you would need and lovely touches like sparkling water and tea/coffee. The room has a separate sitting area with a lovely full length mirror where we got ready.Beautiful kimonos to war, and a fan which was lovely overnight during august and in the morning as it was a lovely sunny room. The bed was so very comfortable, I had a great nights sleep. I left a dress in the wardrobe and the owner called me and kept it safe so I could collect later after the ceremony. The room was so affordable, much cheaper and far nicerthan the chain hotels. Highly recommend! Thank you for our stay x

I loved my stay.The owners have brought some of the greatest cities in the world together in the design of the rooms. My rooms was opulent, luxurious and romantic. I felt like Michelangelo’s David or a sexy gondolier as I reclined on my golden bed which seemed to float down the canal under the Ponte di Rialto…so much fun.Some of the finest breakfasts found on this planet present themselves to you over four pages of the menu. Breakfast was excellent.I left feeling considerably happier than when I arrived and I will definitely stay again. There are many cities left to visit and a lot of breakfast to eat.Thank you Mama’s.

Stayed for two nights in the Casablanca room - so quirky, exotic and colourful! The owners are great - friendly and helpful with lots of suggestions for places to go.They also provide an amazing breakfast. The hotel is in a good location and easily walkable to the city centre.

6 of us stayed at Mama's Inn, it was fantastic from the minute we walked in until the minute we left.Rooms were amazing everything you needed was there real luxury real attention to detail.We booked in for breakfast and what a real treat that was, so attentive food was first class will definitely be going back without a doubt.

We are two daughters and our mother visiting Nottingham for the theatre.I didn't want to stay in a run of the mill hotel and am so glad we chose her instead.We were in the Casablanca room which sleeps 3 people.I had the best nights sleep!Breakfast the next day was three courses, it's was plentiful, piping hot and delicious!The owners are super friendly and welcoming and I can't wait to return in the future.Thank you for a great stay!

We loved this hotel. The owners have created a beautiful boutique place to stay, that still feels relaxed and informal. The dinning room is gorgeous, as are the breakfasts. Our Cairo room was cosy (in a good way) and nicely furnished, with a really comfortable bed. Be careful of the hot water. Its hotter than the Sun.We would definitely look forward to staying hear again if in Nottingham.

We have always had a great experience at mamas. The room was bright, airy and beautifully decorated.Breakfast is quite the star of the show, again, we love it. Fresh fruit to start, tea and French press coffee, your hot breakfast and then a chocolate mini muffin (very yummy).The B&B is incredibly well located for the city and is close to lots of restaurants if you fancy eating out.We never stay anywhere else in Nottingham.Thanks for another lovely stay.

I highly recommend Mama’s Inn. Only a short walk from the City & main attractions. David, Marina & Bertie welcomed us into their guesthouse.Breakfast was delicious all 4 courses, I just wished we could have stayed longer to sample more dishes.If I’m travelling to Nottingham again for business or pleasure I’ll be booking here again.

We were late to arrive thanks to a cancelled train, so checked in later than planned. We were greeted by David & Bertie the dog and welcomed warmly into our accommodation.We had breakfast and had the choice of various culinary delights from around the world. Food was delicious. A 4 course breakfast at £14 per person we saved money as it kept us going until our evening meal.I would recommend this guesthouse to anyone.We would love to return and try a different themed room out of curiosity as nothing in our Cairo themed room didn’t have an Egyptian look about it.

Absolutely amazing hotel!Communication before hand came across as a little rude and blunt and we were charged more for breakfast than it said on the website but breakfast was incredible with so much choice!The quilt in the room was far too heavy and difficult but generally we had a lovely stay!

This is an eclectic, quirky hotel that is a pleasure to visit. A warm welcome from the owners (and the dog!) and the room (St Petersburg) was brilliant fun. Is only a short walk to the city centre and there is a great pub ( Lincolnshire Poacher) just across the road. The breakfast menu was as large as the portions and was the icing on the cake for our stay! Well worth a visit!

What an absolutely amazing place!The room was magnificently decorated.Pure quality and was spotlessly clean.My husband thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast - especially the sausages and mushrooms.We'll definitely be booking again but next time I'll be staying too :-)

Fantastic place to stay

I had a short notice office visit and needed to find somewhere comfortable.These scrumptious rooms fit well and while the location allows no shortage of food & drink the hotel menu fits the bill with a very cosmopolitan mix of food.David's welcome was excellent. Nothing was wanted for, the shower was terrific and the bed was not only comfy but festooned with pillows. All amenities were spotless.Will definitely be coming back.

We have stayed at mama's previously. We stayed intokyo room the last time and it was beatufil andvery nice. So this visit we stayed i casablanca and it didn't dissapoint us at all. The room was lovely done,very clean as always and had all the little touches that we know Marina does to finish each room off. For our personal opinion we liked tokyo better but that is just us. Both room same as every part of mama's is very very clean. The breakfast was as good as always. We cannot fault anything to do with mama's inn and would highly recommend it to anyone if you fancy a room with a big difference.

Easy to book in, welcomed on arrival. Room was as much fun as the pictures on the website suggested. En suite clean, the bed was comfortable. Parking was good especially important given it is so close to the city centre. Home cooked amazing multi course breakfast which set me up for the day. Will certainly return.

What a great place to stay.From the warm reception from Marina on arrival, to the attention to detail in the room (we stayed in New York) and also the restaurant though to the amazing breakfast.Both Marina and David were friendly and helpful.We would have no hesitation in returning or recommending this guest house.This couple have created something unique which they should both be very proud of.

How wonderful to stay in a hotel that is devoid of divan beds, stock furniture and all things beige. Mama's Inn is so beautifully and thoughtfully decorated I just want to go back and check out all the other rooms. I was there with my teenage son for a university open day. We had the Tokyo room which was compact but had all we needed. The moment we stepped into the ante-room with it's table laid for Japanese tea, decorative fans on the wall and a pair of silk kimono-style gowns, we knew this was no ordinary hotel. David and Marina were wonderful hosts despite us arriving late and served us a filling but very good quality breakfast to get us on our way. Very highly recommended.

Easy to find and a short walk from Nottingham's centre made Mama's an ideal place to stay. We also took advantage of the parking on offer. Marina was very helpful and friendly. Our bedroom was wonderfully cosy and comfortable. We both slept very well but, I in particular, had the best night's sleep I've had for for some time. I didn't want to get out from under the lovely quilt the next morning.The breakfast was delicious. My husband had the English and I had the Russian Draniki with Smetlana; delicious! A lovely fresh fruit salad and a cute little chocolate muffin were also enjoyed. We will definitely return to Mama's.

We stayed in the Paris room and it was perfect. I could have spent hours looking around the place, from the moment you walk in there is so much to look at it, and it has been done so well. Breakfast was amazing and and our hosts friendly and welcoming. Our son(university student) joined us for breakfast, and it was a 10 minute walk into town. We will definitely be returning and I can’t recommend this hotel enough. Great stay.

Quirky room, website photos did it justice, well located for city centre, breakfast was good, just didn’t feel that welcomed by the staff, felt a bit regimented and borderline unfriendly like we were more of an irritant to them than a paying guest, perhaps this is subjective as everyone’s experience will be subjective but for small change out of £200 I would have liked to have been a little more relaxed. Nice little hotel though, would stay again if in Nottingham. Thank you.

Stayed here before as the themed rooms are spotless and divinely set up, straight road walk into the centre takes just over 5 minutes.

Travelling with my daughter and cousin and needed a place to stay for one night. We stayed in the Casablanca room. We thought it would be fun to stay in this room and it didn't disappoint. My daughter thought it was super cool.Very clean comfortable beds and a fun memory - what's not to like!!

Stayed in the Casablanca room with my two grown-up daughters. Parking and check-in were easy and fuss-free as was checking out. The room was very clean and beautifully decorated. We had a good night's sleep and felt very comfortable and safe.

Easy to find which is always a good start.We were in the New York room - plenty big enough for 3 adults. 3 single beds so no having to share like in many triple rooms.It is set up with a big yellow metal "wardrobe" and yellow metal bedside cabinets.Sounds mad?It is, but it works.The dining room is like decadent 1920's with a twist. A choice of 23 breakfasts from around the world.We stuck to a full English which you also get with a fruit salad, toast and warm chocolate muffin.It was delicious.Everywhere you look throughout the guest house you see something you don't expect to be there.It's no wonder it won quirkiest guest house on Trip advisor a couple of years ago.10 min walk to the city centre and perfectly placed for the concert hall.If you struggle with stairs let the owners know not to put you in this room though as it's at the top of the house.Water pressure was a bit rubbish in the sinktoo.We will 100% stay there again.Thanks for a great stay.

Stayed for the weekend for my fiancee s 40th, what a find this was, stayed in the Paris suite which was so well decorated with the Paris theme, we only had the breakfasts as we already had plans and they were both amazing, the Continental and full english. We'll definitely go back and next time have meals there as well as the food is amazing and the owners were so lovely and helpful, enjoyed every minute there

My daughter and I arrived mid afternoon at Mama's Inn.We felt so welcome right from the minute we walked in!Our room was Paris - omg what am amazing room! My daughter had a lovely deep bath full of perfumed bubbles before we went out for the evening.When we returned we let ourselves in and settled in with a brew in the most comfortable bed ever!We had chosen our breakfast from the extensive brekafast menu so made our way to the stunning dining room where we had homemade pancakes (daughter) and scrambled eggs and salmon (me), followed by tiny homemade chocolate muffins. Great host unique touches throughout house.We had the Vienna Room which we were pleased with for our nights stay lots of thought put into it.Good location for our concert at The Rescue Rooms only a 10 minute walk away.Apart from the weather the only frustration we had was finding where to park,sign posting would help & having been disturbed in my room to move my vehicle around having prepaid & agreed a designated parking space !.

Had a fab and fun stay at this unique hotel, the rooms are beautiful and the female host is very helpful and let me stay an extra hour. I was actually writing my brother's funeral Euology so I really appreciated it. Will come again x

Stayed for 2 nights in the London room when attending a family wedding. A wam greeting from David when we arrived, with an unprompted offer to carry our luggage to the second floor room. We had dinner in the hotel on our first night and two breakfasts. Food was excellent cooked by Marina our co host. Fantastic choice of breakfast fare. Hotel cleanliness was top notch and would be happy to stay there again if in Nottingham.Room and bathroom both a decent size so good value for what we paid.

We had a fabulous stay, only overnight but we could not fault anything..We stayed in the Loft as we had 2 teenage daughters with us great room loads of space really well laid out and very comfortable. the guest house is so full of charm with little curiosity's catching your eye all the time. Marina and David where wonderful hosts.. We only had breakfast but what a breakfast, we have stayed in many hotels etc over the years but the breakfast here is thethe best we have ever had.. they even brought a seat for Trevor the bear to sit with us.. Mama’s was truly a great experience and I am not easily impressed as I travel alot as a pilot . The owners were very friendly, the themed decor and feel of the room ( we had the London room) was just right.The breakfast is where they truly excel. My brother had the full English, my son the Spanish and me the Israeli. All very tasty and the coffee was indeed excellent.Also a great location with good pubs nearby and the centre of town a small walk. Well done.

We stayed at the guest house when visiting Nottingham to go for an evening at the theatre. We received a very friendly greeting and parking was easy to find. The room was themed and the attention to detail was fabulous. The bathroom was so clean and we had everything we needed. It was a short walk to the city centre and very easy to navigate. Great individual hotel. We stayed in the Paris room which was lovely and really clean. The owners are very accommodating and all the food was home cooked and superb. Good location for the city centre as well.

I came to Nottingham to meet a good friend from university and we stayed here at Mama’s inn. It’s really close to the buzzing night life and all the shops. We were in awe of our room and impressed with where we ate our breakfast, a hidden gem which was immaculately laid out in a beautiful room and also very tasty. David and Marina were both welcoming, lovely and chatty hosts. We definitely would stay here again when we next visit Nottingham.

David & Marina run a lovely guest house, nothing too much trouble.We were fortunate to be given the Saint Petersburg suite and the London triple for our lads. Both rooms superbly equipped & very tastefully (cleverly) furnished.No complaints, all good ... we'll be back in Nottingham soon for another stay :0)

We stayed in the Cairo room. It was lovely. The hotel is quirky and very interesting. The room had everything needed, the bed was comfortable, everything was clean. The room is small but well appointed. We would stay again. It's always nice to stay in an independent and not a chain.

I stayed in Room Tokyo, the attention to detail was impressive and clearly a lot of thought went in to the rooms. Breakfast was great. A pleasant stay.

In a uniquely decorated dining room, it was a real pleasure to eat Mama's 3-course breakfast, cooked to order and perfectly delicous. After the orange juice and fresh, seasonal fruit salad, toast and jams, etc, I chose from their vast selection: salmon and poached eggs on brown toast, followed by freshly cooked sweet pancakes with yoghurt. A great way to start the day.

We stayed 1 night (family of 5). The kids loved their room (London) and we loved our room (Paris). Breakfast was amazing!!! And the hosts are really very friendly and go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable and at home. We would definitely recommend to others.

Couldn’t have asked for more .. lived up to expectations. Quirky and fun accommodation but also every detail thought through such as; a magnifying mirror in the bathroom (matters at my age!), a place to put a used tea bag (saving splashing tea everywhere) .. things that make the difference. The ‘personal touch’ was everywhere. The breakfast was fantastic .. again attention to detail … portion size just right and cooked to order. Can’t recommend highly enough and wouldn’t bother with anywhere else in Nottingham. It’s not the fanciest but it has character and personality and that makes it a holiday rather than a soulless chain.

We spent 1 night here and we cannot wait to return for a longer stay! We stayed in the Paris room and it was beautiful. One of the best places we've ever stayed. The owners were so welcoming and helpful. The breakfast we had was amazing and they had a wide variety of choices, including a selection of vegan options which my partner had and really enjoyed. The venue was in a really good location too, it's quite near the centre and there are plenty of shops in the vicinity. All in all it was a wonderful experience and we can't wait to come back again.

Quirky but lovely. Indian themed room was a hoot, our 13 year old daughter was v happy on the sofa. Friendly owners. Parking right out back. Great central location. Spotlessly clean despite the multiple fantastical Indian decorations. A real gem.

The guest house is located in walking distance to the city centre and Nottingham Trent University campus (the reason we were visiting with our daughter). It’s also very close to Victoria shopping centre and several restaurants (we can recommend Royal Thai, literally just yards from Mama’s Inn).Marina was a very welcoming host who made sure there were no issues with our overnight stay in the Casablanca themed room.Our bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent.If you fancy staying somewhere a little out of the ordinary but where you’re made to feel at home, Mama’s Inn is a great choice.

It’s a hidden Gem, certainly for Nottingham , if not the country. The rooms are not only spotlessly clean but each has a unique theme.The owners Marina and David are very helpful and friendly. Fantastic breakfast great value.Staying at Mamas is much better than a chain.

I stayed in “Paris” and it was like being transported back to “The Belle Epoch”. So many details and everything in character.The hosts are lovely and everything was very clean. The bed was comfortable.The only thing that wasn’t perfect was that the duvet was very high tog (probably 13) and that is much too hot for me - especially in summer. I usually sleep with 4.5 even in winter.I would have liked to just have a sheet.But overall a lovely place to stay and next time I’m going to “St Petersburg”.

If your looking for somewhere different to stay you have to try this place . We went with a small group of adults for a special occasion and it didn’t disappoint. The rooms are special with everything in the room high spec . Breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever had and the dining room definitely had the wow factor . Mama’s Guest house is very quirky with friendly and helpful owners. Our room was very comfortable, clean andhad everything needed for our stay. We stayed in the Tokyo Room and it was styled beautifully and had an extra sitting room attached making it very spacious. Everything is provided to make your stay comfortable. There are a few parking spaces available at £6 a day. Access is easy and walking distance into Nottingham is approximately 10 mins. There is a possibility to order dinner or drinks in a bar area on the ground floor and a great extensive breakfast menu which you order the night before before.

Me and my partner had a lovely time the place was very clean and tidy and loved all the quirky features will be stopping again when we next visit Nottingham

Although I found our room to be a little bit smaller than what expected, the extra facilities e.g. robes, mini chocolates, flannels etc made it worth the price. The staff were super friendly and we had an amazing nights stay. Would definelty come back again next time I'm in nottingham.

A very warm welcome from the hosts and a wonderfully decorated quirky styled room with all facilities we could possible require. Very comfortable bed. We hadn’t booked breakfast but once we saw the menu we had to! We were not disappointed, the food was absolutely fab! Parking was an additional £6 for the night. Great little bar for the evening and the breakfast was genuinely one of the best i've had at a hotel/b&b and this is after recently having completed our honeymoon in some pretty fancy places. We stayed in the Paris room. It was absolutely beautiful. We are a newly married couple, and wanted somewhere romantic. This was exactly it!Our only complaint would be that the pillows weren't very comfortable. But besides that, we were very happy with our stay!

Arrived on the 9th November was greeted by a lovely lady who gave us our key and informed us about breakfast we stayed in the Paris room which was amazing very clean and comfortable the eye to detail and deco was first class and would highly recommend .

Everything about this guest house is wonderful. It's comfortable, quirky and remarkably good value. It is everything that the nearby, faceless chain hotels are not. And the tartiflette for breakfast is to die for!

Me and my girlfriend stayed her for her birthday in the Cairo room and it was amazing. The rooms are so nice and cosy and the food is amazing. Hospitality is second to none !

We had a fantastic time at mama's inn. The room was beautiful, had all the essentials and plenty more. The breakfast was dealisiouswith plenty of options to choose from. Great Location, 5 mins from town centre.An interesting/quirky B&B with a good concept of "around the world".Rooms are a little small but fine for a couple of nights. Great breakfast and lots of extras we did not have time to use.

Our room was beautiful quite small but well thought out. The let down for us was that although the bed looked amazing it was extremely uncomfortable we could feel all the wooden slats of the bed frame through the mattress which was a shame as it ment we got little sleep. The shower regulater would not turn so the only temperature was cold and there was no hair dryer, so after my cold shower I had to leave with cold wet hair.

I slept like a baby who had just been fed????The bathroom was clean, no water marks, was in good working order, not dated.Despite breakfast not being included in the price - which means you pay separate, of a charge of £10:00 per person. You get ample. This was our first time staying at Mamas Inn but i'm very glad we did and we will certenly be going back again. The hosts were lovely and the rooms are decorated like cities from around the world and spotlessly clean. On site parking and breakfast was great.Surrounded by pubs and takaways, 5 minute walk to Victoria shopping center and 10 minutes walk to Rock City. Would definitely recommend .

Wow what an amazing find. The hotel is so quirky and all the bedrooms have a theme we stayed in Tokyo. The breakfast was lovely, hubby said best vegetarian breakfast ever had! The hosts were wonderful, so friendly. We'll be BACK!

We were looking for a clean hotel close to the city and with parking. The quirky rooms were a nice touch and a talking point. Hosts were fine after an initial confusion over parking but Marina checked her attitude. Parking is an additional but reasonable charge. Although the owners are charging for spaces they don't own. We parked at the dentist private space when it was closed for business. Would I recommend? Yes for a special celebration. Would I return? Probably not.

Having arrived with my two girl friends, easy book in and made welcome. certainly different to what we used to but really did enjoyed the unique experience. Comfy room everything you needed spotless bathroom. Had late drink in bar just to relax and talk after a busy day. Breakfast very good and filling, Thank You Marina and David very enjoyable stay.

We made an unplanned trip to Nottingham and after a long, tiring day decided to stop over. Mama's Inn was not only the closest to our son's new digs but also looked unique, interesting and somewhere we'd want to stay rather than simply somewhere to stay.It certainly didn't disappoint. True there was a slight issue with a reserved parking spot, as we checked in but it was soon resolved and everything else about the stay was extremely good.Especially the breakfast - an extensive menu of morning food from across the globe. We went Russian (potato pancakes and soured cream) and French (tartiflette - fried potatoes, bacon, etc with a whole melted soft cheese on top. I mean what's not to like about that!) servedin Versace inspired dining room.The stay also involved a sumptuous venetian themed boudoir of a bedroom (en suite) and a night cap in a richly adorned bar, where an eclectic mix of decor ornamentation provided the perfect place to rest and forget the world outside.Marina and David have created a world within a world; an antidote to the general bland uniformity of chain hotels and non-descript guest houses.True, it might not be for everyone but maybe that's a good thing.

Two friends and I stayed here on 28th September for one night in New York room. The decor was fun and the beds were so comfy. Spotlessly clean and all the facilities we could want including a fridge to keep our gin cold!! The dining room was beautiful and the whole place was very Quirky! We lived it and would definitely stay again! Breakfast was a 3 course delight, especially the chocolate muffin!! Lovely hosts and only a short walk into town! Highly recommended!!!

My Husband, Son and I stayed in the Casablanca room for one night last weekend. Room was fantastic as was the welcome. They really have tried to make the Hotel different and interesting.If you have breakfast don't bother with lunch, apart from it being beautifully cooked, the portion sizes are very good. But that is not the best thing, you can order tartlflette! Wonderful experience thank you!

Booked Mama's Boutique for my parents who flew in from Namibia. On my parent's behalf, the host couple were particularly warm and welcoming, eased my parent's nerves on travelling to a foreign country and took good care of them during their short visit for a graduation* The boutique is beautifully themed and meticulously decorated, most certainly memorable rooms and well situated within walking distance to the University. We stayed in the St Petersburg room to celebrate our anniversary...the room had everything we needed from tea/ coffee water and a fan...which was welcomed on the warm evening. The quality of towels furnishing etc was superb and even had boutique bubble bath/wash. We did have breakfast which was prepared exactly to our liking and was the best breakfast I have personally ever experienced superbly exicuted by David , thank you!This place is opulent and certainly was not disappointing....certainly aptly fitting as boutique. Had an overnight stay at Mama's Inn on the hottest day/night of the year. The hosts were friendly and helpful in trying to make guests as comfortable as possible. They cooked a great breakfast in the morning. The room was clean and everything worked as it should.

This was my third stay at Mamas , the themed roomsare very comfortable. I cannot imagine how much time and effort has gone into sourcing the decor and furnishings. The welcome from Marina and David is second to none, the food is fantastic.IIf you are looking for a break away look no further fantastic.

This is my second time I stay in Mama's Inn House, it is very comfortable and cosy. Marina and David are very welcoming and they make you feel like home.I'll be back for sure to try other themed rooms :)

We stayed two nights, one night in Venice room which was lovely and one night in Casablanca room which was even more fabulous. Breakfast was really good, we had tartiflette and shabuska, both very tasty and plentiful portions. We also booked dinner one night as it was my wife's birthday. Again the meal was perfect and made it a memorable evening for us. Will definitely stay again

What a lovely warm welcome!What a place! Such an interesting stay. From the entrance hall to the bar, reception room, up the stairs and to your themed room, we had the London room, amazing and it had everything weneeded for our stay. Breakfast was lovely, 3 courses which I've never had at breakfast before, it's yummy! Just what we needed after an amazing night out in Nottingham. This is the second time we have stayed here, and both times we have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The owners go above and beyond for their guests, not only providing beautifully furnished and quirky rooms, but also in terms of hospitality. On our first stay, they opened the bar for my grandma while we were getting ready for dinner, and offered her a drink on the house. On our second stay, they provided us with chamomile tea in the evening without any fuss. The breakfast on both occasions was one of the best we have ever eaten at a hotel. The attention to detail, and the personal quality on offer, is second to none. We highly recommend Mama's Inn to prospective guests - you won't forget your time here. We will certainly be returning for a third stay in the near future.

We stayed here a couple of years ago so had no hesitation to re-book for this May bank holiday. A group of us hired four of their rooms and made full use of their great bar. I cannot fault the welcome, the delicious breakfast and the lovely farewell hugs from the hostess. We'll stay for an extended weekend next time. From the outset, as in when booking the hosts of Mama's Inn could not have been more helpful and friendly. The room was wonderful, I stayed in Tokyo. Comfortable, gorgeous detail, slept well, felt safe, not to far from station. Ordered a vegan breakfast and they delivered, very yummy and a great start to my morning! Looking for excuses to get work in Nottingham so I can stay in all the rooms as each one is styled and inspired by an international city! St Petersburg is calling me!

We booked the loft & London and Tokyo rooms. All the rooms were fantastic and put together so well, everyone thought they were so quirky. My husband and I had a one night stay in the Tokyo room as a birthday weekend away. The welcome we received was so friendly and helpful. The Tokyo room did not disappoint, beautifully decorated, comfortable and warm! A very quirky room with plenty of character. Our breakfast was also equally as impressive! As a couple we were both really happy our diets could be accommodated for (vegetarian & vegan), the food was delicious, the morning welcome was warm and the added extra of a breakfast muffin was delicious! Stayed three nights for the 2017 Ice Hockey Playoffs lovely room (Venice) welcoming staff. Weather whilst there was great but with no Aircon room was very warm but then as we are from Scotland anything above 10 degrees is Hot :-) Would stay there again certainly not your average guest house quirky and fun.

Had a lovely 3 night stay at MamasInnBoutique Guest House. Clean comfortable room . Marina and her husband were very welcoming. Breakfast order placed the evening before was a good idea, saved time , Marina'shusband made the excellent cooked breakfast good quality bacon and sausage, fresh fruit salad to start , orange juice , tea/coffee and to finish some homemade pancakes or mini muffins.

All the rooms are different - ours was the Cairo room - and there's so much thought gone in to everything here.Despite there being lots of artefacts around, everything was spotlessly clean.The emphasis is on enjoying and indulging yourself, which leads nice on to the breakfasts.Ours was beautifully cooked and presented and there was plenty of it.Our room was just slightly small, but this was compensated for by a nice sized and well presented, very clean, bathroom.Nothing was too much trouble for the owners, with a really friendly and helpful welcome.I'd recommend staying here.

We stayed for 1 night as part of my partner's birthday weekend. We stayed in the Tokyo room and it was absolutely fab! The guest house is gorgeous and the decor is lovely, in both the communal areas and the room. Tokyo room was clean and really well decorated, and despite the hotel being situated on a busy road the night was very peaceful. Breakfast in the morning was freshly prepared and tasted great, and the owners were friendly and welcominf throughout. Would definitely recommend!

This was, without doubt, the best guesthouse I have ever stayed in. The rooms are beautifully and thoughtfully furnished. We stayed in the baroque St Petersburgh room, very stylish. Well worth a visit.

Great decor, and fantastic room. Just a 10 minute walk to Nottingham city center. The breakfast was outstanding and great hostess. I can highly recommend a visit, I will be back for another visit.

We stayed here on the 16th December. A very warm welcome when we arrived in this beautiful guest house. We stayed in the loft room which is very quirky. Very comfy beds. My friends all loved it too and breakfast was excellent although I was a little worse for wear to participate 😬Would definitely recommend and will be returning here next time we stay over in Nottingham

Mamas is a gem of a boutique b&b within 5 minutes walk of Nottingham city centre. The attention to detail in this home of a hotel was wonderful. We stayed for one night to do some xmas shopping and a night out location is really good very near town centre.we stayed in the Cairo room it was very clean and had everything you need for a comfortable stay the whole guest house was decorated lovely and also smelt very nice . We had breakfast and it was to a really high standard in fact it's the best guest house we have stayed in and will definitely be going back thankyou to the owners who were super friendly

This place is stunning! The decor is quite literally out of this world and we felt like we were actually in London in our room! The food was divine and the hosts were lovely. We eill definitely stay here again.

2 night stay no real issues. The owners are very friendly and wecoming, the room are themed which feel a little strange, ok but strange. If you have the Japanese room you get two futon beds which are very low and difficult to get out of. Good breakfast although again a very quirky and somewhat fussy dining room.

The beds in Tokyo room are tailor-made to fit the Japanese style of the room and to add some real oriental feel. The beds are lower than usual and may not be suitable for people with serious mobility problems but for others they are perfectly manageable. It is advisable though to consider bed\\\'s option when making a reservation although, in your particular case, dear Andrew, the alternative room with a higher bed was offered and declined.A lot of our guests would agree with me if I call our Boutique hotel different, quirky, characterful and in some ways unique. You prefer to call it \\\'strange\\\' very emphatically. Well, tastes are differ. But if one wished a stay ina regular, traditional hotel why to book a boutique one?The fact that we offer themed rooms is profoundly advertised on our own website, websites of our business partners and is mentioned in hundreds reviews. One has to consider SOME description before making choices about acquiring anything really.You have mentioned the breakfast being \\\'quirky\\\' and I suspect the chosen word is just a synonym for being \\\'strange\\\'. Well,in our breakfast repertoireare many not so \\\'strange\\\' options too, like various omelettes, fantastic full English breakfast, porridge and continental.Using this opportunity I shall mention to other guests who might read this that we are very pleased to offer other fantastic versions of the most important meal of the day - Flamenco eggs, baked creamy eggs, American version - crispy bacon and hot waffles, pancakes, potato fritters, and basically anything you fancy - we will try our best to provide.Dear Andrew, you have also described our dining room as \\\'fussy\\\' as another subtle substitute for \\\'strange\\\'. Our dining room\\\'s design is influenced by Versace and is created to celebrate, amuse, take away from ordinary and to inspire. The rooms were very clean, everything really well presented and tidy. With themes you sometimes find it can be cluttered, but that was certainly not the case here. we stayed in "London" so plenty of union jacks and red phone boxes everywhere which was a lot of fun! The beds were comfy and the staff were very welcoming. The breakfast served was delicious and the dining room is very luxurious! The Inn is a short walk to the town ccentre which is perfect. Only teeny problem with our shower water pressure which was rather weak, it took a while to rinse the shampoo out of my hair, but other than that, a wonderful stay!

This is a beutifull place to stay very cosy clean. rooms have nice themes. The only negative things were it was very cold in the room and no designated smoking area.

What a lovely B&B - the location is ideal, the accommodations comfortable, and the food amazing. I suggest opting for the Paris room for a nice size and room to relax. We slept very well!

Short walk to all shops , bars and restaurants . Welcoming staff. We stayed in The Loft room amazing space and fitted 5 people . Quirky decor very nice. Breakfast amazing 10/10.

Mother and daughter overnight stay in Cairo room. Comfortable nights stay, lots to look at. So handy for all of Nottinghams amenities. Lovely breakfast and brilliant having a prebookable car park space. Would recommend to all looking for a stylish stay!

When our group of three were looking for somewhere to stay in Nottingham - we were desperate to find somewhere other than the large sterile chain hotels staffed by teenagers.So we were a little cautious to find a place promising a warm welcome, themed rooms so close to town... and a breakfast at a decent price.What a find.A quirky, fun, clean guest house - with things to look at and talk about.If you're looking for somewhere to make your stay in Nottingham more interesting, more than just a bed for a night - then this is the place to book.

As soon as we stepped in the Guest House we was welcomed by Marina who was very helpful and got everything I requested. The room we stayed in was Paris with a four poster bed and couldn't fault it. Was so picturesque and the bed was perfect. Waking up in the morning Dave cooked a delicious breakfast. Overall, if I'm ever looking for some where to stay Mamas Guest House will be my first choice. Highly recommend.

Mamas Inn was great place to stay in Nottingham. David & Marina were friendly & helpful. The breakfast was freshly cooked & delicious with real attention to detail. The rooms are extravagantly decorated with different location themes, with lots of added extras & perfectly clean. Couldn't fault it & would highly recommend.

My husband and I stayed in the Tokyo room, nicely themed and very clean. The only critism is the bed is a tad uncomfortable. The owners are lovely, very friendly and hospitable. Breakfast was delicious one of the best I've had when staying away! Would defiantly recommend for something different with a homely, welcoming atmosphere!

Interesting place. We had the Venice Room which was fairly tight (not pictured). Ventilation was an issue. The full English breakfast was good and to be recommended - though not for the size of the portion. Very snug in the dining room and would recommend removing one or even two pieces of furniture and providing the diners with more space. Good for a single night in Nottingham.

i had to organise a place to stay for a few of us for a couple of nights in Nottinghami Didnt want your ordinary chain hotel.i did my research and everything pointed to Mamas boutique.This turned out to be an excellent choice.judging the reactions from my friends at the rooms and breakfast they were pleasently surprised.A great place, i will be re booking when i bring my family here.

Mamas inn is a very luxery and georgeous hotel. The rooms are as in a dream. The owners are very kind and the guesthouse is situated only a 5 minutes walk from the centre of Nothingham.

Where do you start, at reception we met Maria so nice she gave us the keys told us to come and go as we please. Asked us to let her know when we want breakfast and if its a cooked full English pre notice would be nice to save us waiting. How thoughtful is that. Of cause I went for that. Told us the room location and asked if we needed help. Paris was the room so nice clean and fresh loads of room around the four-poster bed good size bathroom with real good fitting. Breakfast was great starting with fresh fruit then the main was that good or what.We could not fault it and will go again and again its so good Many thanks Gordon and Paula Thompson

What a truly wonderful stay from start to finish. This guest house is beautiful and our room was fantastic. Highly recommended, will most certainly be returning.

Stayed in the Casablanca room and also had the Venice room for my son and girlfriend. This is not your ordinary run of the mile guest house, the décor and food is fab-u-lous. We were warmly greeted and nothing wastoo much trouble. The attention to detail in the décor wow! Worth going to Nottingham to stay there.

This is a unique guest house with fabulous decor. A real experience and walking distance from the city and all its amenities.

Room furnishings were nice - but room had poor lighting - both bedside table lamps did not work, and the sitting area of the room light was a heat lamp!The extra charge of 5 pounds for parking was chintzy.I don't understand why we were put on the third floor for our room when only 4 of the 10 rooms were occupied.We did not take breakfast.A basically good facility, with too many shortcomings.

Dear Raymond,Thank you for finding time to write a review.We glad that you had an overall good stay.We are thorough when it comes to maintenance and not working equipment is in our priority list to fix.The bedside table lamps did actually work or at least they worked when we checked them immediately after reading your review. They are imported items and we use adaptors which sometimes come off the socket. One little push and all worked. A light in the sitting area is a normal standard lamp and not a heat lamp, unless I don\'t get your joke.Now the parking. We charge for our car parking significantly less than it is on-street or elsewhere. A car park charge is applied only to those who wish to use it and it is not obligatory. If cheaper options were available then you should have use them.We have only one executive suite room which you reserved. If you had any issue with climbing stairs or in fact any other complains it would be so much easier to resolve if you communicated it to us. We cannot possibly know what room you prefer and which floor. We are a small family-run business. We are constantly present and willing to make our guests comfortable by doing all those extra little things that make all the difference.We hope that staying with us was not so bad experience after all.Kind RegardsMarina and David

Stayed in a good sized well appointed room with very nice design touches which despite on main road not at all noisy. Very decent sized bathroom - room/batroom and public areas all v. clean and tidy clean throughout.Top breakfast! - but book your slot!Excellent location for city centre

As someone who travels within the UK regularly with business, my usual haunts are the Holiday Inn Express, Premier Inn type hotels. Perfectly adequate, clean and comfortable, they do exactly what they say they will and the do it well.Staying at Mama's Inn gives you all that and more - the more being lovely food, a quirky, comfortable room and a very friendly welcome. I sincerely hope to stay there again on any forthcoming trips to Nottingham. A real wee gem!

We picked Mammas mainly because of location as we had business andd social events planned it was the ideal location for us.Mammas is definately not a bog standard guest house it is the rooms are all different and decorated to a high standard.We got the Vienna room it was clean tidy the shower was great we have been in plenty that are not.David and Marina made us feel very welcome and served us a wonderful breakfast.We would most definately go back.Thank you both

Everyone was friendly at the guest house and couldn't have asked for more.even though the breakfast was delayed it was the best breakfast I've had in a hotel and the little dessert to finish off was divine.Only downside was the stairs to our attic room but the room/space was gorgeous.

We received a very warm welcome and were so impressed with the Paris room. The room was perfect for a romantic night for our wedding anniversary. All the little touches both in our room and elsewhere just made it that little bit more special. A wonderful breakfast which was cooked fresh and to perfection. Definitely would recommend this fabulous little hotel. We only had one night but left very happy indeed.

After reading some of the reviews about Mamas Inn the latest one wasn't very good, we went with an open mind. It was my partners Birthday. We booked the Paris room, we opened the door to the room and it was beautiful! Very clean and quirky and very nicely done!The bathroom as a nice size with a wonderful deep bath and nice size shower! We met both the owners and they were both lovely people, pleasant and chatty. we had breakfast the next morning and it was very very good!Would recommend the full English! Very nicely done!So scrap the odd few bad reviews on the place! it's a wonderful place to stay!! I travelled with my fiancé and parents to visit family. We stayed in "Venice" and "Paris" rooms respectively. The Paris room was very nice, being an executive suite. The Venice room was a bit small, considering the amount being paid for the room but otherwise was very good. The entrance area seemed a bit dark and it was a shame the bar was closed - it would have been good to notify us of this in advance. My parents didn't enjoy their breakfast as they thought it was over cooked but my full English was absolutely lovely. The hosts were very helpful and accommodating.

We stayed in the Cairo room and it was wonderful, it was tastefully decorated, very clean, quiet and in an ideal location for what we required. The couple who own it were very friendly and welcoming. We would definitely return and fully recommend it.

The warmest of welcomes where you are instantly made tofeel at home and nothing is too much trouble for this lovely pair of owners . The rooms are themed without feeling over the top ,and spotlessly clean .We had a minor misunderstanding over breakfast being in or exclusive but to be fair that was the third party website we booked through that was at fault not "mamas" and the issue was sorted out very quickly . Our stay was for one night whilst attending a concert.The location is fantastic for people wanting access to the city centre and really easy to walk into.The street is very culturally diverse and has a wonderful selection of restaurants to eat out.Marina and David's hospitality were second to none.The breakfast was fantastic!Fresh fruit, followed by a light just right cooked breakfast, which was sooo tasty and fresh.If we'd have had room we could've even had a fresh chocolate muffin as well!The room was really comfortable and really clean.We stayed in the Paris room which was very lavishly furnished! Our only suggestion would to possibly have a fan in the room as it was quite hot.We did open the windows, but soon realised why they are double / triple glazed as the noise during the busy city evenings went on till the early hours. (This obviously is not Mamas' fault)We would definitely stay again if visiting Nottingham!

what a fantastic B & B. very clean, great staff and a lovely breakfast. all the extra touches would definitely make me stay there again.. the rooms were all different and quirky. loved everything about this place.

Love it here and it's my regular place to stay when in Nottingham. Stayed in all the city rooms and love Paris and London most. Cannot wait to go back. Marina and David are real gems and the breakfasts are delicious.

12 of us stayed here for 1night for a 50th birthday celebration. The rooms are all amazing beautifully decorated. The breakfast next morning was lovely and had a good choice on the menu to choose from.Would defiantly stay again

I usually stay in chain hotels around the country but was desperate for an escape from this so booked into Mama's in. I've not had a better sleep for a long time! Beds were incredibly comfortable. Rooms were themed which was interesting and unique. Both the owners were incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a real treat.Thanks for having me!

Hosts were great, ideal location for shops and rock city venue. London room exhausted my head, I get boutique places have the novelty/quirky bit.....but the London room batters the senses. Take your shades.

After a long day s travel I was tired on arrival, parking was not great but ok. Bedrooms are quirky but very comfortable bed, excellent shower in the morning and very nice breakfast. I would definitely stay again.

One of the best places I have stayed. Very personal environment, nice location, stable WiFi, amazing breakfast.

Owners are very friendly and accommodating.Clean and comfortable room,utilities in same room via a door. Breakfast excellent and adequate.We had booked parking before hand and this was still able to be offered even though limited parking.

The proprietors of this fine establishment are warm, charismatic and great hosts although, not at all over the top and afford you your own privacy. They are rather comical actually as a couple and do a great job in making their guests feel comfortable and cared for. The boutique itself is very quirky and well established - like an Alladin's chest but in no way cluttered. Rooms are clean and interesting and have all you would wish for. Breakfast and the breakfast room is a great place to start the morning. Breakfast is clean and whilst we had a full English, it was not greasy at all and just the right portion amount. Everything you would ever need in abundance is offered at this delightful boutique. Thank you for having me :0) x

A lovely Georgian house,with parking really close.No need at all to grouse,to kind attentive hosts.A quirky set of quiet rooms,as warm as one could wish;breakfast with swing tunes,a most hearty well cooked dish.I'm sure that we'll return,To this Notts town enclave,When we have cash to burn,Or at least had time to save.

I picked this hotel for the convenience to where we were working.On arriving we were warmly greeted and showed to our room.s.Each room is themed around an European city. We stayed in the Paris room which was elegantly decorated in an Parisian feel and a lot off thought had gone into the accessories.The room where we had breakfast was wonderfully decorated.The table was ready for us with fresh fruit salad. We had pre-ordered our breakfast from an extensive list and everything was freshly cooked.We thoroughly enjoyed our 2night stay and will defiantly stay there again when we are back in the area.

The hotel's owners are very welcoming and friendly. The decor is beautiful and decadent and alot of love and thought has gone in to decorating each room. Everywhere is clean. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. I would definitely stay again and recommend to others who want something more than just a bog standard room with no personality. Thank you!!

The hotel was good, but the owners both make this place great, they are very friendly and very accommodating, they made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend this hotel

Great place, lots of character,warm welcome.I felt bad arriving at 9:30 and needing breakfast at 8:30.I appreciated your flexibility on this when I phoned,but it is the reality of a short trip away - theres a lot to fit in.I hope if the budget allows you would be able to recruit someone to do a welcoming breakfast a couple of days a week, so that you can feel refreshed.When I stayed on a farm and arrived to milk the cows bleary eyed after a late night "you can't burn a candle both ends.'

We were going to the theatre and wanted some where to stay in walking distance,in a room that would also all four of us. Mamas Inn, ticked both of them boxes and many more... lovely big room, super comfy beds, very helpful and friendly hosts and a great breakfast. Kids can't wait to return to our loft room! Thank-you.

Mama's Inn boutique Guest house is certainly something very different from your average guest house or hotel. Themed rooms, a great breakfast, city centre on your doorstep & run by a couple who take great pride in what they do & have.

Loved it! Fabulous décor and stunning concept of making each room a City from around the globe. Great attention to detail in all ways. Hosts are magnificent-worth staying just to meet Marina. Superb breakfast and ambience. Personal touch in everything. If you like an experience outside the box this is for you. Location close to city centre-walking distance. Parking by meter at front or a parking bay at rear. I intend to stay again!

Was a pleasant experience and Marina was very welcoming.

Feels like home and recommended place to stay in Nottingham. The breakfast is fantastic as well :)

While the decorations are beautiful, I would appreciate the welcome pack reflecting the actual situation and the owners applying it clearly. The checkout time is 11am, guests should not be disturbed before that and it was stated the time given for breakfast was just for reference to prepare materials but was later informed during breakfast time, if I missed the timing I wouldn't get breakfast. There was some miscommunication but I would appreciate being treated in a less high handed manner.

In return for that slight inconvenience we offer our breakfast at any time with a latest at 10am on weekdays. Considering that we are a relatively small hotel we have to be prepared as we don\'t cook anything in advance and by asking for breakfast time in advance we reduce guests\' waiting time to a minimum.Sorry that we miscommunicate this to you.Kind RegardsMarina and David

we stayed overnight in the Venice room which was very clean & comfortable. Breakfast was very tasty & of a high quality.The guest house is walking distance to town, many restaurants & Royal concert hall. We would highly recommend this guest house.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, rooms were amazingly decorated. We were made to feel more than welcome by the staff and breakfast was outstanding.
